1. Ecodetect monitoring buoy at sea

    HydroWing (Inyanga Marine Energy Group)

HydroWing, the tidal energy division of Inyanga Marine Energy Group, has contracted us to bring real-time AI wildlife monitoring to its 30MW tidal stream project at Morlais, off Anglesey.

Our surface and seabed systems will detect seals, dolphins, fish and diving seabirds around the turbines as it happens, trigger mitigation the moment it is needed and build a continuous evidence record for regulators, from the first device deployment in 2027.

“Ecodetect’s AI-driven monitoring solutions will help us balance performance and environmental responsibility.”
Richard Parkinson, CEO, Inyanga Marine Energy Group

  2. Seal detected in underwater footage beside a Nova Innovation tidal turbine

    Nova Innovation

We provided Nova Innovation with on-demand analysis, expertise and advanced technologies to monitor marine wildlife interactions and ensure safe, sustainable energy generation.

“The Marine Directorate’s approval to shift from manual to automated analysis of our subsea data sets a significant precedent for the sector as a whole.”
    Environmental Manager, Nova Innovation
  3. Dolphins detected in underwater imagery near Orbital Marine Power’s O2-X turbine

    Orbital Marine Power

We are supporting Orbital Marine Power with automated analysis of optical and acoustic imaging data acquired from the deployment of their O2-X turbine in Orkney.

  4. Seabirds diving underwater, captured by Ecodetect monitoring for Ulster Wildlife

    Ulster Wildlife

We are collaborating with Ulster Wildlife Trust by deploying underwater monitoring systems in Northern Ireland, delivering real-time interactive data analytics, live video streaming, and automated alerts.
